RAV4 Ute?

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

It says, “We don’t think Toyota has any plans to turn their RAV4 into a truck but if they do, we hope it would end up looking like this.” I agree with the plans part, but not the looks part.

That’s not a bad idea. People buy crossovers. People buy trucks. Might as well combine them, and the Ridgeline and Santa Cruz could definitely use another competitor.

I keep saying it; the ridgeline was before its time...it might still be...but the crossover trucks are coming. A rav4 ute would be a turd (they are kinda light on power as is), but a highlander ute would be pretty solid. The trouble Toyota has is that its already flush with trucks and crossovers, I think Toyota would be the last to enter this space as they would likely wait it out, study the market and then come in and do it “Toyota style” (i.e. Reliable, boring, popular)

I agree with you, it might be a while before Toyota looks into this segment.

The front looks a bit weird, but I’m liking the rest.

I thought Ridgeline is actually becoming more traditional truck body styled but on unibody.

It is, but it’s still basically a Pilot with the back bit cut off.

I feel like the Sequoia would be a better candidate for this.

Why a Sequoia over a 4Runner or something? Is it more comfortable than your Ram?

Back in late 2013, we needed something large, roomy and 4WD. Now not so much since I have my truck. It’s come in handy oh so much for moving stuff and my sisters into their respective apartments. It’s also nice to have in the winter cause my driveway is shit and curvy and hilly and is all hell when it snows more than a few inches.

Comfort, about the same, maybe a tad smoother. They both feel pretty nice until you go on an unpaved or rough road then you remember a bit they are large body on frame trucks.
